This page describes the site and the shipping app. If that changes, this text will change the same day.

In one sentence

This site does not collect an email. In the app, your nights stay on your phone. The only third-party ads are optional rewarded videos, each behind a tap, served by Google AdMob.

This website

• No waitlist, no newsletter, no account. We do not store, transmit, or receive your email from this site.
• App Store. When a “Pre-order on the App Store” (or later, download) link is live, it sends you to Apple. Apple processes the pre-order under its own terms. We do not receive your Apple ID or payment details.
• No ads, no analytics cookies, no social pixels. Following X, LinkedIn or Twitch happens on those sites, under their terms. This page only links out, with no embed and no social pixel.
• Fonts and images are hosted here. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or another third-party script.
• Hosting logs. Vercel Inc. may keep technical logs (IP address, date, URL requested) for security, under its own terms. We do not use those logs to identify you or to advertise.

The mobile app

What the current build does:

• With your permission, Zarden reads sleep periods from Apple Health or Health Connect. It does not write back to Health.
• Duration, night quality, garden state and inventory are computed and stored on your device.
• Sleep data is not sent to us. We cannot see your nights.
• A short rewarded video from Google AdMob plays only when you tap for it: to keep the visiting swallow on your island, to double what the moon pays for a dish, or to swap one of the moon’s wishes. Zarden World skips the swallow and doubling videos, and includes three free swaps a week. There are no banners and no full-screen ads between actions.
• Google Ireland Limited (AdMob) is the advertising partner. It may receive advertising identifiers and technical data needed to show a video. Never your sleep periods, garden, or night quality. We request non-personalized ads where the SDK allows it.
• In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form may appear before the first video. In certain US states, a “Do not sell or share” choice may appear. You can reopen available choices from Settings → Ads, and you can reset your advertising identifier in the system settings.
• Zarden World is an optional subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google process the payment. We do not receive your card number.
• Uninstalling the app deletes that local garden data. We cannot restore it. AdMob may keep its own advertising records under Google’s policy.

A later optional sign-in would be described here the day it exists. Today the garden is not synced to a server we operate.

Your rights

We do not hold a waitlist email. For an App Store or Play purchase, use your Apple ID or Google account settings. For ads choices, use Settings → Ads in the app, or write to contact@pourquoi.app. We cannot restore an app garden: that data is only on your device.

Children

Zarden is not directed at children under 13.
